Wicking Beds - Perfect for Aussie Summers

The dry, scorching temperatures of Aussie summers can be in the high 40s. Therefore we need to constantly water the plants, especially vegetables.

I came across this idea of wicking beds in one of the gardening articles I have read. The concept is to have a reservoir of water in the bed and you would only need to top up the water weekly.

We thought of giving this water-conserving method a try.

This is our first cucumber harvest. So happy!
